Landscape Works is owned and operated by Jerzy Fenigsen-Zieba (aka Jurek ('Yur-ik)). Jurek has an MA from Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland and has extensive experience in landscape design on all scales.

For twelve years Jurek worked on the designing team for green areas at the City of Krakow's Office of Urban Planning and Development. There he was responsible for the large scale planning of urban landscape and ecosystems. In 1983 the team won a national competition for the Development of the City of Krakow Master Plan.

In 1983 Jurek established a private firm, Dendrosan, for the protection and restoration of urban and historical parks. The firm completed a number of projects including the initial state of restoration (based on historical and archaeological evidence) of Kitchen Gardens at the Wawel Royal castle in Krakow.

In 1987 Jurek moved to New England and started Landscape Works, Inc. which specializes in the design and construction of urban and suburban gardens in the Greater Boston Area.
